this is one of my FAVORITE of my old movies- its called sparkys magic echo- Its from the 1940s. WE have it on a tape with Sleeping beauty, noahs ark and some other ones. And I wanted to share this joyous trip down memory lane- and so I sat with it on my Tv and held my camera up and recorded it for you to watch. It took me lots of tries, lots of messing with the tracking. and lots of cursing-

So please ignore the terrible quality- it was the best I could do with such an old tape.

I merely love it to death and wanted to share it. I think the reason I like it so much is its simplicity. Sparky is so happy just singing everyday to a mountain.

why the hell cant something so simple make us happy anymore?

  • I had this o_o

  • This is different from the record I had as a child, but very slightly. He had lost his echo.....not his voice. I came from such a small town that I played this on a old crank up victrola, a 78 rpm......I played it over and over...I was about 5 years old.....I'm 57 now.

  • aww I miss these, I had this Panchito and on a vhs but our player destroyed it

  • I remember listening to this on the radio, before we ever had a tv. Brought back happy memories

  • @GanF88 The voice of the bear and the fish were by Pinto Colvig, who also did the voice for Goofy in the Disney cartoons, so that's why they sound like Goofy, with the fish's laugh and everything. This record was on the Capitol Records label and Pinto Colvig did the voice of Bozo the Clown for Capitol Records and on several other records as well.

  • @PICKLETREE (myself) Actually, I might have found it. The donkey's name is Panchito. If I'm wrong and you know what I'm talking about, let me know! Thanks again for posting this! My sisters and I have been wanting to relive childhood.

  • Thanks so much for uploading this!! Do you know about one with a donkey named Pepito? I've searching for that one, too.

  • gee THANKS FOR POSTING THIS ! I USED TO LISTEN TO THIS ON AN OLD 78RPM RECORD WHICH MY PARENTS HAD BOUGHT FOR US KIDS, OF WHICH I WAS THE YOUNGEST OF 4. I'VE ONLY IMAGINED IT IN MY MIND, BUT ENJOYED SEEING THE CARTOON. ONCE AGAIN, "THANKS FOR POSTING THIS" !! THANKS AND..."GOODBYE, GOODbye, goodbye, goo.....

  • I'm 63 years old. This in one of the records/songs I fondly remember from my "early" childhood, BEFORE TELEVISION.

  • Oh my...

I can not, for all i am trying to, remember where I first saw this from, but I remember that these series of cartoons were some of my favorites. Thank you so much for posting this, and may many blessings go your way for this spark of happiness.
