For those that are wondering, the later revisions (e.g. Rev B, C) are the power supplies that sound like jet engines. Take it back to the store and get it replaced with the older revisions (e.g. Rev 02, 03). I got a Rev 03 after having a Rev B, and the Rev 03 is DEAD silent while the Rev B piece of shit is loud as hell...louder than my elite! Microsoft should recall them because it's unacceptable how loud they are.

Totally agree , apparently you can get an adaptor that let's you use the old psu with t slim , I'm going to give it a go and see what happens
