Space 1999 theme music sets the tone for this display of 8mm & Super 8 film footage from way back in 1975. Junior high school special effects footage.

  • On tonight's episode, it is Aurora vs. Airfix(MPC) in a fight to the death in deep space. Who will win?!

Brilliant work man! Reminds me of the good ole days of having fun with firecrackers and army men, although I never had a Super 8 to film with (and I probably would have done space scenes as well if I did have one).

  • @JMChladek LOL. Luv the commentary!! Thanks. I miss the good ol'd days myself. Also, I did the firecracker and army men too...but alas, like you, I din't have a camera available for the carnage. LOL.

    Thanks for the comment!!! :-)

  • Wonderful! Takes me back to my days of mucking around with Super8...

  • @McToddRidesAgain From there I went onto doing stuff on 16mm whilst at film school. Now I have a whole Youtube channel as a display case for this old stuff; which is infinitely better than the back shelf. LOL. thanks.

  • Great job!

  • @TK42138 Thanks. It was fun to make and experiment with. By the way, luv your handle's reference to the trooper rendered unconscious...LOL. ;-)

  • @artfrankmiami It's too bad all your efforts are a great memory. Would have been cool to see that. But then, something worse could have happened. I mean, back in the days my pal and I making this stuff, we ended burning many holes in the basement carpet. LOL. But his parents were cool about it. B-)

  • You're movie proved that all of the concepts I built for my movie back in the day would have worked. I built a balsa framed Eagle transport crew module and covered it with flash paper walls....never had the opportunity to detonate it.

  • @PokemonKenobi Over the last year I have been doing that with all my Super 8mm films. I haven't posted them as I thought no one but me would find them interesting. I'm about to reconsider that though.

  • @schultz1963 I've learned over the years that there are many of us who've shot the Eagles in one way or another. You should transfer your stuff and post them. Thanks for the comment. :-)
