Jamming along with my favorite Larry Carlton solo using the original 1976 vinyl print of the Royal Scam. This take isn't as hot as the previous one but my tone is better and now you can hear the recording behind me. I'm using the my G&L Legacy in the 4th position (neck and middle) through my Genz Benz Black Pearl 30 watt Combo. The amp is running at 8 watts wit the preamp at 3 oclock and the master at 10 oclock.

  • by the way awesome cover :P

  • ill show you the lick if you like man?

  • Great Job.

  • Nice playing, great feel.

  • Awesome playing. The Steely Dan guys were on MSG recently discussing why they didn't tour way back then. Now they want to I think. I just got a Genz Benz Black Pearl 112. Amazing amp. And even at the 8 watt setting it is huge sounding.

  • This was nice, I like the tone of the guitar. Check out my attempt at this, I think I got that last part down.

  • Hey great solo!!! And you have a turntable!!!! Hahaha we have a friend who won't listen to CD's....just has a nice turntable with tons of 70's records all over the place. BTW Steely Dan is my favorite group. You do that solo real well. I think Larry Carleton was playing his Gibson ES 335 on this track.

  • Nice jam eric!
