Finishing my discussion of Educational Theory, this video segues into a discussion of the Seven Liberal Arts: logic, rhetoric, grammar, arithmetic, geometry, music and astronomy. This first part focuses on the definitions of "liberal" and "art" in this context, particularly the idea that art is something done for its own sake.

  • Funny. I usually get criticized for not using enough visuals when I teach, which is one of the reasons I made these :)

    I'm not a big fan of slides myself. But I did these kind of "on the fly".
