  • the reason comedy worked so well in the manga was that it was always ludicriously out of place, one page they're making penis jokes and 5 pages later he's ripped a giant hole in flute's abdomen. interesting to see how dark the story gets with the comedy completely drained

  • Jeebus, the anime is SO DIFFERENT from the manga! Gah!

  • Ehhh....

  • What the hell I don't even... I knew the anime was different, but I would never think it would be THAT different ! At least, the OST seems decent.

  • @whisperleafannie if it was like the manga, the anime'd never ends xD too bad for the ending though =°(

  • They make this anime so.......serious and tragic in the anime

  • But still WOW That violin playing gave me chills! So incredible! I was awestruck! I wish I could play my fiddle that good... ^-^ I wish that the anime would make it more like the manga though...

  • This is totally difrent to the manga! But I think its bettr than this becuz it's funny, and Hamel isn't a gentle soft-spoken character all the time. In the manga hes wild and crazy, crushes birds with his violin to eat, does wild scams fr money & dresses Flute as a monkey + other suits...And there was a time he tried 2 cross an ocean on a turtleNo-that was Flute in another costumeXD And he didnt live there; he was alone with Oboe on his way to da north. It was by chance he found Flutes village

  • well.. e anime version is quite different from manga.. i thought i could see e comedy in anime, just like manga.. e anime is quite dark one..

  • Wow, this is really good!! It has the same tone as fantasy novels, stuff authors like J. R. R. Tolkien, Terry Brooks, Lloyd Alexander, and Robin McKenley create. The same adventurous spirit and old-time-y feel, you know?? I get the feeling I'm going to like this. I love the art, too. It's really detailed, but the animation quite frankly sucks.
