  • Nice catch.

  • thanks!!

  • Great vid - that dust devil was ASTOUNDING - we were there. It shrunk a little once it got into the camps (or maybe this vid is from the side of the city where it began) - but when it was in the open it was HUGE - like a city block at the base I'd say.

I love how the guy on the bike in the foreground just waits for it to move through the intersection - like it's just another traveler on the streets of Black Rock City.

  • thanks! we were camped around 3 o'clock i think but close to the esplanade so this was just as it entered the camps on that side.

  • how fun.

    thats very fun

    what a fun video

    where is this located?

    whats the occasion?

  • it was in the black rock desert, nevada, at the burning man arts festival.

  • LMAO LOOK AT 1:00

  • This is a dust devil. Dust Devils are NOT supercell Tornadoes like you mostly see in the Great Plains, The Southern states, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, most of michigan, most of wisconsin, southern minnesota, missouri, and tiny sections of pennslyvania.

Neveda is dust devil alley BUT NOT TORNADO ALLEY.

  • Well in some parts people call them Dust Tornados even though they aren't tornados. It is just what they call em. We get them a lot here in the desert but people back east seem astounded when they see one. Although recently a couple of elderly golfers were injured when a dust devil knocked their golf cart over on top of them so they had reason to be in awe. Oh and nice Target bag, :-p
