i have scoliosis too. though hopefully i never have to have surgery. my biggest curve is 45 degrees and my small curve is 23 degrees. i didn't have surgery but i did have to wear a brace for over a year. it wasn't fun but at least i didn't get surgery. it was one of my options though. so hopefully i never get surgery cuz it looks painful. btw awesome video it was very descriptive but i hope i never have to get surgery.

I have to get almost the same surgury next year. I have Scoliosis too

NO, things like this can not be handled without surgery. I had it done, and they were going to brace me, but it progresses too fast, and they are discovering bracing doesn't work, and that's all they can do, brace, surgery, or observation. So unless you can think of something, this is the only answer.

I was originally under prof Dickson and changed to Mr Dunsmuir. My sister has her first appointment soon under Dr Milne (he also did my surgery).

Yeah. There is only less than !% chance of paralysis. My side and stomache was paralysd but that was because the surgeon cut through nerves. Thats fsded loads and will have gone back to normal in few months. I had 2 rather big complications with my surgery and I'm on top of the world now. I would definatley recommend it to anyone who needs it. If you ever need surgery or need to ask any questions feel free... Hows your brace now? I don't wear mine as much as I used to. Oopa =]
