While cleaning some old hard drives, I came across a home video that I created in 1994. I erected a 60 foot tower in the back yard for my ham radio operations. My wife films me as I show you how to put this thing together, just in case you don't have any help.
@makitaman60 It's true, I should have had a hard hat. Thankfully, everything went up fine. Since this installation, I've lowered the entire structure 30 ft, to remove the guy lines when I had siding installed on the home. I just use wire antennas so the wind load is not a problem as would be with a beam antenna. The PVC pipe is great for running coax underground to the structure.

I'm just kinda wondering, though you have your pulling rope blocked so you don't have to strain the tower or stand under it while towing it up,yet you turn around and climb up the tower with it dangling 40 + feet above your head, that explains why your not wearing a hard hat I guess, cause it would not stop that section if something gave way. I'm not trying to make you feel bad, I promise I have done somethings a lot worse. Just please advise the people not to try this at home. PLEASE !
