Unfortunately, before I could get the bike warm and give it a few revs, the battery died on my little camcorder. I'll get another vid up soon.
I have lots of photos of the progress I've made with my bike in the last year on Photobucket:

Anyway...
This is the same Thunderace I bought in Oct '09 which was originally blue and black. It had quite a few broken fairing tabs and cracks from the previous owners which I finally got round to doing something about. I spent the spring/summer of this year (2011) repairing a number of cracks in the front fairings and replacing the rusty/broken 'H-stay' and 'mirror stay'. I had extra welding done to these two replacement brackets as well to strengthen them.
As I had to remove paint from the fairings I decided to sand all the plastics back and repaint them white. I only had access to spray cans though, and the finish is less than professional, but still looks really good. Next year I'll probably get them professionally redone as I just don't have the dust-free facilities to get a pro finish.
I had the H-stay, mirror stay, bellypan T-bracket, brake calipers (rear hanger & torque link as well), petrol tank and wheels powdercoated to give them a durable finish. I wanted to go with baby blue wheels but the powdercoat company I went to didn't quite have the blue I wanted, so I went with my next choice of turquoise. In person, the bike looks really nice... especially in the sun!
