Some people (including me) like the GUI of PSI 2 much, MUCH better, than the "NEW", "USER FRIENDLY" (i.e.: dumbed down, stripped of functions) GUI.

I would like at least have the option to switch back to the old GUI, or something similar with the functionality of V2, e.g.: detailed program and threat info, which file is tracked of a program (exe, dll, etc.)).

Till then, i will not use V3, if possible.

Well, what to say: vote up if you agree.

    Thanks.

If users aren't happy, users will stop using it. I want to see the scan in action. I want to see more than a screen full of up-to-date/not-up-to-date icons. I want functionality and a GUI interface. I want to see progress bars and text and little rotating indicators. I want to have the comfortable feeling that, even though the process is fairly automatic, I have a measure of control. How do we know secunia isn't merely sniffing through our systems and collecting data for who knows what purpose?

I dumped v. 3 very quickly after trying it out. Simplify does not mean "hide everything" or "keep 'em guessing." I'll keep using v. 2 until it stops working. Then, it's back to manual.

I agree with all of you critics. Today I found that V2 no longer works. I protested via support (at) secunia (com). I suggest you do the same. BTW, dumbing-down does not only take place here. Check out pro-mobile-internet (net), to open your eyes.

The design of a UI signals, what a developer (or rather his company) thinks about its users! So, now we know!

I am also sticking with v2. I want to know what's going on on my system, what the threat is, be able to see, where the offending files are, be able to rescan an individual app, etc. So, v2 serves my needs way better than v3. I consider that dummy-version a nogo!

I think this is an informative video on Secunia PSI 3.0. I have version 3.0.0.6001 installed. I've yet to do a scan because it got stuck at the loading screen. I think it's a service issue which I expect will be fixed by tomorrow.

Same, never EVER loads. Popup screen hangs forever. Worthless forums. People say to do things ive already tried, even turning off SSl scanning, even disabling firewall

This program NEVER loads...it stalls out even after I allowed it threw my firewall, even after a restart.
