Im 44 years old, and still watch this and enjoying it as if it were the first time! Christmas is a time for mending old wounds, a time to reflect, a time to give thanks, a time for hope, making new friends, whilst saying good bye to old ones, a time to unite, and a time to share with those less fortunate, an exceptional and humble time, but most of all christmas is family and how we recieved the greatest gift of all, a baby born unto us so long ago... the gift of love from God... Jesus Christ

This was must viewing for me every year on CBS when I was growing. CBS would always play the "CBS speical presentation" bumper. Sponsered by Hostess or was it Dolly Madison?

@AthlonCAP Dear, do you know what "overkill" means? This little feature has the most perfect balance of message and human tenderness ever made. Why do you need to cover it with your own? Let it be what it is and speak to people on its sweet own, please.

@Bobcatgirl03 Thank you :) Take a look at my response to his trolling.

@sixsixxsixxxx Hush you troll. Haha. It has nothing to do with a person's religion. It has to do with the fact that they dislike such a pure video. If I saw a video about Kwanza, Diwali, Ramadan, Hanukkah, etc., and it is a good video, I would like it, not dislike it because of religion. Maybe you need to take a look at yourself and wonder why religion was the first thing to cross your mind. If this is just you trolling just to troll, then :P If not, then please think about it.

0:55. I wont let all this commercialism ruin my Christmas. Truer words have never been spoken Charlie Brown. Not a very politically correct statement to make but true nevertheless. This is the Christmas that I grew up to cherishing as a child

You could never get away with the stuff that the Peanuts Christmas special did. You might be able to get a religious Christmas carol in, but you would never get quotes from the Bible. I think these things help make this such a classic, its simple and down to earth, and it confronts the feelings that many of us have during the holiday season. Give me a Peanuts Christmas over all of the Christmas specials of all the cartoons on Nick and Cartoon network any December.
