Interesting stuff. I think you should take a look at the Ian Lungold/Carl Calleman interpretation of the Mayan Calendar. They have some interesting insights. One of them is that the calendar doesn't end at 2012, but on 2011.

Is there an explanation why the Mayans didn't have wooly hair? The other thing is, that the question could be solved by looking at genetic analysis. Some darkskinned Americans went to laboratories and the results were roots in different African countries. Wouldn't these laboratories have detected some Moorish blood? I guess they are all mixed by now...
