The cost of the "Spindrift Hotel" on your budget is misleading. The rates for a cheap room are $54 a night. If you were traveling alone that is what the true cost would have been.

stop[ scaring people you dumb a-hole...i spent my entire summer in Belize traveling alone...people are amazing friendly and kind....watch out like in any other developing country but nothing to be scared of to go..... Cayo region is one of the safest...

@brianhogan2007 yeah on those busses it's common to get out the back because they pack them in. So it's easier to get out the back instead of maneuvering around a bunch of people standing in the aisle.
