Ancient India truely gives great contributions of mathematics, medicine and comsomolgy. Christian believe the world is 10,000 years old or even 2000 years old ? Also something about Noah and the Ark ? Nutcases ! Jesus is metioned in the Vedas as a enlightened teacher to come and take advice from to bring peace. Kundalini is the evolutionary enegy in man. Evolution and creationism happen at the same time. Other cultures are jealous ! This is why they always skip over the true facts !

of course its a myth... but its a true myth. is an ancient Indian going to put that in terms of numbers and equations? no... he puts it in terms of myth but it is the same idea.... this is incredible... No doubt Carl Sagan has called the Vedic time scales an 'accident' but you all must remember, this program was aimed at WESTERN audience at a time which the Aryan Theory was widely believed and India thought backward and uncivilised. No American scientist has respected and studied the Vedas more than Carl Sagan. Perhaps he wanted to save some limelight for modern science.

Sagan tries to make the ancient Vedic Knowledge sound like a myth. Listen to him closely. Does he explain Rams Bridge to Sri Lanka or the recent Dwarka found in the sea?

He is an athiest, trying to explain God and His Creation. Impossible only a holy person knows God and can explain Spiritual things.

Sagan isn't making any judgements on belief or culture, in fact I doubt you will find an American more open to other people's views on life as much as Carl Sagan.

Sagan was just showing how all people try to understand the universe in a way that makes the most sense to them.
