Lecrae [MUSIC VIDEO] Boasting

Christian Humility. "May it never be that I should boast..." Christians are to be known throughout the world for our humility and lack of boasting. This is a preeminent sign and mark of a true Christian, and so it should be since this is a foremost character trait of our only Lord and Master Jesus Christ. Our Savior is "gentle and humbl...e of heart." Though our Savior has every reason to boast He does not. Our Savior boasts in His Father, whose will He is well-pleased to fulfil in all things. It is enough for a disciple to become as his teacher. We Christians do not boast in ourselves. We value meekness more than all of the worldly things about which the vain boast themselves.
God Himself is most opposed to boasting. He has designed the economy of salvation with the very purpose of silencing every man's boasting. Before the foundation of the world the Holy Trinity set out the plan of redemption in such a way that human boasting would be totally excluded. "For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble; but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, and the base things of the world and the despised, God has chosen, the things that are not, that He might nullify the thigns that are, that no man should boast before God (1 Cor. 1:26-29)."
