Protecting oneself from rear laser shots has always been extremely hard to do consistently and effectively requiring a combination of Veil, a passive laser countermeasure, coupled with active laser jammers.

In this video we demonstrate just how hard it really is to do well, even with two proven products working together in unison.

Given that the Stalker LZ1 is one of the hardest police lidar guns to "jam," I consider this an absolute worst case scenario (particularly with large very-reflective metallic silver surfaces like the rear-end of my BMW 5 series) and a huge challenge for us to overcome.

This video demonstrates that more work has to be done to achieve solid protection from rear police lidar targeting.

In this instance another passive anti-laser countermeasure, such as OnTrack's LaserShield would likely help as this target vehicle had no such license-plate cover installed and further improvement to the active laser jamming would also certainly help.

  • The only way the zr4 will work from the rear is if the cop has to put down his doughnut and then shoot you. Looks worthless from the rear from < 600 ft.

  • Perhaps, but most on-ramp ambushes are further out potentially. I got tagged twice in Northern Kentucky just before Cincinnati, Ohio and the ZR4 plus Veil G4 did not fail me.

  • @SpeedTrapHunter The ZR4 does not work on many newer threats and has always struggled with the LZ-1. The integration is nice + with Veil the performance is boosted. The Blinder is not as consistent as the LI, though I am not familiar enough with the lawsuit to say anything integrity-wise. But I can say that the LI is by far the most consistent in regards to jammers that work. Of course, even the best jammers will not work well when incorrectly installed so this should always be a consideration.

  • @SpeedTrapHunter you can't say this yet blinder didn't win in court!!!!!!!!

  • I would not recommend using a patent infringing product like the LI. Blinder is a more reputable company thatbplays by the rules. The advantage of the zr4/9500ci is the overall integration ability.

  • Conclusion: Get a L.I. or Blinder, the Zr4 does not cut it especially on rear shots.
