  • My Great Grand Father And Father both served in the 3rd AD, GG pa for eighty days, and Dad for seven years. Staff Sgt Lafayette Pool, commander of "In The Mood" 1-3, and Pvt C. Stanton, crew man of "In The Mood" 4.

  • By great uncle was in the 36 AIR but was killed.

  • my father served in the 3rd like to get service records, no records dept says they were destryed by fire. do you have a copy of their book from wwII, great video...

  • Great documentary. My father served with 3rd armored during WW2, 32nd armored regiment from Normandy to end of the war. His name was Lee Garrett also known as Jiggs.

  • The 3rd Armored Division was commanded by Jewish-American Major General Maurice Rose. Beloved by his men for always leading them into battle in the field, he was a true fearless warrior, brilliant tank commander, pride of the Jewish people in America. God bless his soul, sacrificing his life in the defense of his country.

  • My dad served with the 3rd Armored from it's formation in Louisiana to desert training in the Mojave to the end of the war. We know very little of his experiences as a tank commander. We do know that he was blown out of the top of his tank and had some shrapnel wounds that weren't severe enough to send him home. Beyond that he'd never talk about it. He passed away in 1993. He was Sgt. John C. Lego from Chicago.

  • A very nice tribute video.

My father served with the 703rd Tank Destroyers WWII as a radio repairman.

  • Lol, when I was with 3/5 Cav (from 92-94) my German girlfriend and I had an apartment above the Welcome Inn....I still have some video somewhere as well....

  • This was a very moving video MATTHEWDKAUFMAN. Thank you. The picture at 37 seconds is my grandpa. It was taken March 6, 1945. His name was Vernal D. "Jake" Jacobson. And the picture of the grave of Floyd B. Walton. That was a friend of my grandpa's. I have his address book and Floyd's name is written somewhere in there. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. THANK YOU.

  • Anyone know how to load video from a VCR on to here. I have a ton of 3AD Gulf War stuff on video. Otherwise, I guess I have to convert it to DVD.
