@GuyFawkes40 Agreed. Also,I find it very disturbing that most ppl(myself until a couple yrs ago)have been lulled into a false sense of well being by manipulation of the press by "bankers, industrialists, speculators in the markets" and the military industrial complex(thank you Eisenhower). It seems that "they" want the world to be in a state of disarray at least partly as it keeps us down(pre occupied with the struggles of daily life)and unable to look to the real cause of our troubles.

@xxcrysad3000xx No NO..The truth is that, as technology grew, we were supposed to be freed from certain duties so that we could devote more of our time to developing our own mental and emotional maturity. Instead, we have been cast into a semi-slave like environment where we think we are free but really are not. Had we enough time to mature, we would naturally become better citizens, better people. IT is this slavery that steals our idealism. Not simply the passage of years.

@richardmann184 You're very correct. In fact almost all of the world is in terrible economic disarray right now primarily because of greed by bankers, industrialists, speculators in the markets, and, dare I say it, Most of the congress. It is a sad position to be in.

@DrSwindles I'm not sure if I agree with your use of the word "ideologues". Personally I think that pursuing the ultimate good, and therefor the most ideal, is the only true pursuit no matter what discipline you apply it to. Perhaps I misunderstand your meaning however....
He talks about having to get started thinking about it hear and now and attempt to forestall this. Seems just like today the evidence is all around yet no one is paying attention or cares to listen to anyone trying to tell the truth, and we are at a point where people do love there slavery, the vast majority of people are locked into an artificially induced state of happiness.

Don't you guys see the irony of debating left or right wing politics in here? The subscription to failed ideologies is exactly what he's talking about. You have all had your consciousness captivated by ideologues that serve the EXACT SAME corporate interests as their opponents.
Get your mind out of the TV.
