@KARVAYO777 you are so right gene was easily the most talented and crosby was the least talented

Why the cloak....CAPE. Crosby wore a CAPE at the Ciro when they premiered this tune. I was there, and well, it looked so "different" and "alternative" at that time. Girls thought it was hot. It might be one of those "you had to be there things". They were an instant hit on that Sunset Strip small club stage. Their quick succession of TV shows didn't really call for them to have to do away with what made them work for everyone to take to them as they did. Yea Byrds......

Why is David Crosby always wearing a cloak? :P

@watchika What an absurd comment. Gene was a very talented singer/songwriter/musician in his own right and the only reason he didn't play guitar in The Byrds was because Crosby and McGuinn both played guitar and it wasn't necessary for Gene to play also. But he wrote many songs and performed with the Gosdin Bros. and the Flying Burritos and was every bit as capable as a musician as Crosby and McGuinn.

@joebuckjajaja led zepp is nothing compared to the beatles and dylan

@57sergniks First, the Byrds didn't "rip" this song. Pete Seeger adapted the beautiful words, and set it to music, making it a gorgeous song that millions the world over, have heard.
BTW - The bible isn't copyrighted.

the drummer is cute!!!
it s obvious why Gene Clark left The Byrds, the most talented member of the band was left to play the tambourine ...

Umm I very much doubt that Gene Clark could play guitar as well as Roger, play bass like Chris, or even play rhythem guitar like David. Michael Clarke was just your average drummer.
