  • Looking to buy a nice strat from Japan! but are they as good as an American? Vancouver Canada

  • @mrpupcake Well, what I can tell you is that the quality is at least egual... The Jap Strats are just as fine as the Us made ones...( not talking of signature series or custom shop ).... If you find a MIJ I would say go for it. It's worth every Canadian Dollar that you might want to spend on it. Good luck. When you get something let me know, post a video or whatnot. Cheers

  • It's kind of like listening to Mark Knopfler crossed with Dave Gilmour :o

You use MK's clawhammer fingerpicking and sweeping arpeggios :D

  • Tnx a lot... I mean...if somebody compares you with Knopfler and Gilmour you can only fell like you have a meaning in life :))) And you know what? I'm self taught... I guess it's called natural tallent. I have no ideea what I'm playing. I just grab something and play... :))))

  • @cannibalslayer13 Mexican sounds cr@ppy. Jap people are more accurate in tech. Esp. FGN (Fuji-Gen)

  • @mrpupcake In 80s american Fender factory was closed and the only company making Fender-brender official guitars was Fuji-gen. So 80s Jap Fenders are the best, 'cause they're only 80s Fenders)

  • @khmerguy22 not at all its a fact that mexican made are superior japanese made consist of 7 parts whereas mexican made consist of 5

  • yeah, I just refurbished my 1982-ish Jap Strat...freaking love it...paid 200 bucks for it in 1992, put in a used set of Rio Grande (muy grande) matched set pickups (70$), turtle shell pick cover, new electronics..old faded (gorilla vanilla) white..yellow nicotine stained yellow neck...beautiful guitar...whenever I take it out, people are like.. "WOW"...but when they HEAR it... now now! Better yet, when I PLAY it, it really shines...feels like an old friend... because it is.

  • So how do you like the amp? I want to get an acoustic amp for my sg

  • Great playing there mate .

    Good guitar sound.Excellent technique.

  • My gosh man I love the 80's music (Journey, (Thanks to my niece) The cutting crew, Bryan Adams, etc.) And Geez man this is why I love strats. The sound, the feel,

Go fender. I rate this 10/10 man. Love the sound so much.

  • hey! i just bought a fender st-72, made in year 1984-1986....E680286....may i knw wat kind of wood do they use for my strat....is it alder or basswood?

  • I have a black on white 80's jap strat HSS..Schaller Floyd Rose..

Sounds as good as my 2007 american HSS.

    Fender for life.

  • i give it a 10. it's Crazy how i like the Japanese and Mexican Strats more than The American Standards.
