After watching an episode by "June the Homemaker" I decided to try this project myself to see if I could do it. It was super easy and each glass took about 30 minutes to make (partially because I don't have a very steady hand for cutting the stencil.

For projects like this you will need
*vinyl contact paper ($7.99 at Michaels)
*Armour Etch etching cream (3oz bottle fr $12 at Michaels)
*Tall shot glasses ($4.99 for a set of 6 at Marshalls or Ross) **I chose to use tall shot glasses because not only can you fit more alcohol, lol, BUT the taller glass provides a larger work space and freedom to make your image big and put more detail. Also, my bf and I usually take double shots so I liked these glasses better.**
*Needle point tool/crafters knife/box cutter (to cut out the image on the glass to create a stencil)
*An image of your choice
*Paintbursh, pen/sparpie/pencil
*Scissors

Find an image you like and trace the image with pencil onto the vinyl contact paper. trace over your image with thicker lines with a pen. Make the pen lines thick enough so that when you cut them out later the image will stencil easily and be visible on the glass. Cut out your image in a rectangular/square shape and remove the paper backing, and place image onto shot glass, making sure there are no air bubbles underneath and the image is flat against the glass. Now, use your needle tool or box cutter and cut out the thick lines you made. The easiest way to do this is to cut in small sections, and not in one continuous line. If you cut in one continuous line versus shorter lines and smaller sections it will come out cleaner and you will have ferwer mistakes. Peel off the cut out stenciled sections as you go. Once the entire image has been stenciled layer on your etching cream with a paint brush in thick strokes, let the cream sit for 10 min and gently wash and rub off. Note, if you have sensitive skin (like I do. I have atopical eczema and my skin irritates super easy) you may ant to wear a pair of gloves when applying and removing the etching creams. Peel off the stencil and admire your work :)

Thanks again June for this awesome idea! (and for saving me a couple bucks vs trying to find and order these online) I am super pleased with how thes turned out and plan on doing this project again in the future
