A reporter is talked into spying on members of an environmental group fighting a project by a developer with big political ambitions. Then people start getting hurt. Based on the John D. MacDonald book. Starring Ed Harris, Blair Brown and Richard Jordan. Produced by Richard Jordan. Directed by Victor Nunez.
@leitepreto1 I'm afraid that - like lots of films - this one is just too good to be commercial, plust its premise - defense of the environment - is so unpopular today it won't sell. Excellence and commercialism don't often coexist.

One of my favorite three or four directors and yet there are huge gaps in what i've been able to see of his work because you cant find much of his work. for example, i believe you still can not rent nor can you find a non used release of "Ruby". it's bananas. glad this one resurfaced. have been able to catch it once before. Thank- you for this.

@leitepreto1 Agreed, this film is brilliant, and Nunez did practically everything but the acting on it (Richard Jordan produced, but that was at Nunez's request, because he just couldn't do it all, and he needed somebody who could "yell and scream" and get the producing done so that, as Jordan put it, "Victor could make the film he wanted to make.")
