Chris Hedges: Fight GOP Fascism

Hedges urges the poor deal effectively with the right wing's grip on power, counter their fascistic racial targeting of Islam and other scapegoats like immigrants, gays, feminists, and lefties, by getting the public to see it's a deliberate distraction to prevent our realizing the need to replace obsolete economic institutions, a corrupt media, and a criminal government lacking in legitimacy. Poverty Initiative at Union Theological Seminary brought Chris Hedges to their Poverty Scholars Strategic Dialogues on Media and Religion and he delivered a monumental address. @pretorious700 Check out Chris Hedges' February 7, 2012 talk, Call to Action at v=XgsoV6hVMZw where he calls for creating an alternative to both parties, building on the Occupy movement. There are several wonderful talks by Chris on Youtube. He's no idiot!

@bapyou Since you said please, what else can a guy do, STILL CAMERA FOREVER! Actually the little jerkiness in the first 4 minutes involved some setting up necessities, but after that, looking over the footage it seemed I did manage stable pro framing, varying views to relieve boredom, occasional closeups and backing up to catch hand gestures. So are you only complaining about the first 4 minutes? So I don't make it to your faves? Sigh. Seriously, it's an ongoing struggle. thanx 4 thought

Excellent talk. We should also pay attention to the popular movements in Latin America right now, they are a true example to the world of workers demanding revolutionary change. Don't buy into the corporate propaganda against Chavez, Evo Morales etc.

I heard today that Communism is dead from what I seen is that's not true, In Greece Italy, and Spain and theirs a large angry population, Someone referred to the Wiemar Republic and during that time the Fascists and the Communists fought in running street battles we know that ended I think we are heading that way and if you say no that can't happen here but that what they said.and it didn't save them.
