  • Fantastic video, thanks for bringing back so many memories for me. These days everyone seems to have a camcorder, back in the mid 90's they were rare! I'm glad you used yours - it means that although Frontierland died, the memories can't.

  • Nice to see people enjoying my video's,camcorders in those days were large, cumbersome things to drag around but as you say, it keeps the memories of the great parks of the past alive and that certainly makes it all worth while !!

  • Great video steve, thank you again for uploading.

  • Glad you enjoyed it !

  • Excellent video. This really captures the park in the 90's. I read somewhere that the trains fom the Texas Tornado wet to India where they built an exact replica of the Southport cyclone at Nicco Park Calcutta

  • Glad you enjoyed the video, I know there is an exact replica of Southport Cyclone at Nicco Park and I have seen a photo of it and now you mention it the trains did look the same as the Texas Tornado trains !

  • Crikey, this brings back some memories. I can smell the chips...

  • Loving this vid, brings back some some days. The park was shut to put money into blackpool pleasure beach. Some rides went to southport but that met the same sad end.

End of the day greedy park managers!

I heard when the Texas Tornado caught fire, they asked for it to be demolished and the contractors went a bit overboard and took a fair amount of everything else with it.

There were a few frontage arcades including the camel bashing game (that was stupidly addictive!) and a temporary fun fair set up for less than a year in the middle, that later moved to the promenade near were bubbles used to be.

  • I can't belive thay closed it down I drive past the old site most days its so sad to see it as a waste land. Theres sod all to do in Morecambe now.
