I hit 1000 subscribers! Thanks very much for all the views, feedback, and love. Figured it's about time I make a new video. Had a few things on my mind to discuss.
Also want to remind everybody that my Art Book + DVD Tutorials are available off my website: www.marcobucci.com.

  • Seriously, I love you explanations friend. You make it all seem... mmm... possible. I began rummaging through various works of concept art etc., because certain people wanted more than I could afford on a particular project and so I've had to improvise a few times. But something happen, this quick fix blossomed into a sincere fascination. 2ndly, its always a wonder to see someone/something in it's element.

Both gimp & blender are impressive no doubt, but what other programs do you use?

  • @theleftflank thanks! Glad you were able to get info from these videos. And I basically only use Photoshop. Maya when I need to do 3D stuff.

  • Was wondering what brushes you used for this? Thanks

  • @HannahRoseShaw A custom brush set I've built up over time (these days I tend to make a new brush for any given painting just for fun, so it's hard to remember what I used on this particular one). The brushes themselves should really just make shapes that look nice to you. But you can download a basic brush set of mine at: marcobucci com / brushes zip (remove the spaces and add dots in that URL)

  • So do you work all on one layer?...

  • @3eneboy When I'm just sketching around, yes. I'll only use layers for something that involves heavy detail (i.e. matte painting) or layered effects.

  • I really enjoyed how you did your video, very insightful. I usually like to restore pictures to their former selves, I find it very difficult to get realistic colors, without making look like plastic, makes me upset digital colors are too "bright" and not real word enough.

  • @marcobucci Okay, I'll be sure to keep an eye out on your website. When checking out your site I went through your gallery and really liked what I saw, especially the kid-friendly work (nearly all) being that Im a father. I get paid tomorrow and plan to buy your book, really look forward to those instructional DVD's, it's always been easier for me to learn by seeing and hearing rather than reading, thanks for making it affordable too, some help is Really expensive

  • @fademartin Well, at the time I recorded this video, I was doing some online webinars and courses with a virtual school that no longer exists. I may start it up again on my own. I'll be sure to put a video out if I do, and it'll be on my website. Thanks!

  • You mentioned online lessons, where can I find information about that?
