Is that a Vortexion or Ferrograph at 03:16? I've just got a series 3 ferrograph, just the bare tape deck. Not sure how to take a line in. There's a severed thick cable with several wires, so I assume they're all the input and output connectors. Another for power. Not connected it up yet. Hope it works. Said 'fully tested', but may have meant in 1959 or something.

This is a Ferrograph series 4, there sould be an amp with the recorder and the thick cut off cable coulb be the cable to the amp, which means its not going to work and is not tested.

What's the song playing on the Studer at 30ips?

on some all in one stereo systems they have builtin cassette decks with high speed dubbing

but instead of a regular cassette you put in a cassette adapter( ie. ipod to cassette deck) and play a song at regular speed while having it being recorded a much quicker speed than its supposed to be

which means a whole lot better quality for my ears to listen to

Thought as much. I only really want to take a line in/out to/from my computer. Should be able to do that no? If so, I'll clean it up, use it, then sell it on.
