This was my favourite suzanne song when i was just 8. I got my mum to buy me the album. I sing it when i do open mic nights as i know it off by heart. Its a beautiful song.

Suzanne Vega is a giant in true musical history ! Besides her incredible guitar playing ans vocals , her song-writing ability is simply awesome. I hope that I have the opportunity to see her in concert one day !

i think its a teenage boy and a teenage girl, playing tag and flirting on a playground at night-- the names shes saying are old actors- bogart, deitrich, dean, becall. . . .. . who i think they pretend to be. . . and its a thing she rememebrs from long ago- slow fade now to black. i LOVE this song, i'm a semi-professional musician with a million songs and soudns in my brain, and this REMAINS one of my very FAVORITE things. . .THANK YOU for posting!
