I got to thinking...
and then this song came to be. c:

Here are the lyrics:

I'm the equation
formed in the womb
and it's just too soon
to leave

but all to exactly
the clock strikes noon
when i declare to breathe

and it's just too soon
not a clue
how to live
with nothing to lose

I'm all the bundles
Shaking at night
Crying of fright
for arms

The door sets wide open
and she's standing bright
With everything safe and warm

And it's just too soon
not a clue
how to leave
and find my way to you

How do you settle in
To sentences that move
and morf into settlements
that shape an older you

Tell me, how do you pave the way
to fit to what is right
Does right even have a way?
and is it you and i....

I've gotten taller
and somewhat wise
to what these eyes have seen

I've found the beauty
between the lines
of what i've come to be

and I've got no clue
what to do
but that's okay
cause I found you

  • @beverleykatherine To me, I guess it's how I look back at trying to live life. Not that i've been a crab in a hole, scared of doing anything. But there have been moments where I wish I could go back to being a child, thinking that I'm just not old enough to make these big decisions (which i still do). In a nutshell, it's about being afraid but that in the end we all grow up and finally feel our feet get a bit sturdy on the whole "who i am" matter. Only a bit though. :)

  • This song is so nice, for those interested the guitar part is the 'clawhammer' picking pattern (Dust in the Wind).

    Chords for verse (intro/interlude):

    A Asus2 I Dma7 (bar chord on 5th fret) A I Dma7 A I Esus4 E

    Chorus: Dma7 I A Asus2 I Dma7 I A Dmin I Bmin I E

  • I'm always so afraid of listening to originals by artists whose voices I love because I worry that they'll be horrible but your originals are absolutely incredible.
