A brief CKND ident followed by the intro to CKND's All Night Show, in which the station airs movies all night as part of its 24/7 schedule. This would last until fall 1986 (at least at midnight) when CKND aired The Late Show with Joan Rivers.
CFCN Calgary used this music in their promos early to mid 80s. They also had a sing to it "Calgary 4 and 5 -- Puttin' on the hits" Was this music a part of any particular image campaign?
KNRR was never available on cable in the Winnipeg area. And Canadian stations can acquire American programs to air on their own stations, even if it is airing on an American station available in the area (see "simultaneous substitution" on Wikipedia).
Not in 1986. They were ripping off "I'm So Excited" at that time.

How did CKND get the rights to the Late Show? I thought KNRR in Pembina was around by then and aired FOX programming.
