i think the auto door thingy is pretty old my parents went to japan in 1985 and taxis had auto doors at that time.

japan is a cool place to visit.

That's so true, they never let you cross the road here, I live in Matsumoto and they are the worst drivers. They never look where they are going.You can't even think about crossing at a zebra crossing あぶない

yeah that's true that taxis open the door for you. when i was in NYC, i was waiting until door open, but realized this is in america, not sweet Japan.
