Flight in a Diamond DA40 XL from Seattle Boeing Field to Everett Paine Field and back (KBFI to KPAE). Note that you can see the Space Needle at the beginning and end of video, plus Qwest & Safeco Field, Lake Union & Queen Anne. Also a new generation 747.

  • how much would this cost per hour rental? And do they do flight training on it at KBFI?

  • @PilotCJensen I'm not sure of cost per hour, but I know both Galvin and Wings Aloft both rent out Diamonds at BFI. My best guess for cost is $200-$250 per hour. I normally rent a C-182T at $195/hour.

  • What did you use to record atc?

  • @goingtobeapilot: To record the verbal communications, you need a camera that has an audio input, then buy a cord online that plugs into the headset intercom system. Cheers.

  • I favourited this because of the 747-8F in the end, and because this is an awesome video showing great capabilites of the DA40! xD
