@superbungabunga well, to be honest, it is a V but on each side there is 2 different rows of cylinders 4 rows total 4x4=16, so it is not an v or w it would be like this: \\// but all conected to the same place And there is no letter like that, but it is closest to a w.
It is a W because on 1 cilinderbank, the cilinders are not in a straight line, but in a pattern of: 1st up, 2nd under, 3rd up, 4th under, etc. Look for Veyron W16 and you'll see. it is to make the engine more compact.
