More than likely, yes. But I just don't see any legends now the way the previous decades did, unless of course you consider it the start of the pop-era, then we have a plethora of them.

I was born in 1978, and I will say I disagree with your opinion. I used to think like you when I was a kid back in the 90s, but really it's the same old stuff that gets repeated by every generation. I've lived longer then you and people just say the same stuff over and over again. There's nothing wrong with music today, infact I thought the late 2000's had some great music. I promise you people will say these are fun, innocent, and carefree times with good music in about 12-15 years.

music has become a corporate entity anymore. Its all about image now a days. Crap shows like American "idle" makes sure they look and sound a specific way and then package it. You dont get artist that right music from experience or play their own instruments anymore. Imagine great artist like John Lennon having to have ass holes like Simon or seacrest telling him hes not good enough or doesnt look the part. Music has sucked for the last decade. Its truely dead
