It's very sad to see an intelligent person letting ego get in front of reason! Hawkins has NEVER said that what he thinks is the truth, he only throws out ideas of how things are, based on the evidence, and asks others to see if they can prove or disprove it. So far many of his ideas have been proved right. This is science! Religion is faith without proof. Wishfull thinking and LIES! That is why "spiritual" people are dum. Know thyself sweetie!

@ssesf When you indoctrinate your child with religion you destroy the child's ability to critical thinking and one of the results can be seen in this video.

You atheists finally need to realize that there are thousands of religions, that are all vastly different. Virtually all your arguments fit only for the monotheistic world religions, just like this one here. In my religion the gathering of knowledge and critical thinking are considered some of the highest virtues !!!

Only difference is that Hawking's theories of how and why aspects of the universe functioned, and things we couldn't even imagine until they were proven (black holes, big bang, etc.) to exist, we are vindicated by observation and repeated experimentation.

The spiritual idea that she claims to hold has yet to provide a means to test it for us to understand even in principle.

It is the religious who burden themselves with proof that does not and may never exist.

It is not only fanatic religious freaks that expose their children to religious indoctrination from earliest childhood, when they are most vulnerable to it... ordinary religious freaks do as well.
