I live in NJ (USA) and the tsunami would affect me. So I have my alert applet ready. It will alert me the second something happens. If something happens I will alert you guys on my friends list and post it on my channel.

@valioyamaha But the worst case scenario may still happen. If someone told me that if i wanted a bullet proof vest that will stop a 22 cal. only. But that they had another one that would stop a bullet from a 45 cal in worst case scenario as being a body guard. I would wear the worst case scenario bullet proof vest lol. @valioyamaha Some are saying it is too stable to cause any tsunami. That it won't slide into the ocean. I have seen all that data, films ect. My findings are if a tsunami does happen and I crunch the numbers. Tsunami from the land slide if it happens on my shores in New Jersey wouldn't be that high but would be the most 2 meters and about 2.5 km inland the most. But that is my best guest. @valioyamaha Under sea land slide have accurred in the atlantic before with far less mass and cause allot of damage and it doesn't displace water it moves the water. Now land slide above the sea displaces and moves the water at the same time. Being more energetic. What scientist have a problem more with. It's not will it slide into the ocean. Will it be over 100s of years and nothing happens or will it be immediate and cause a catastrophic tsunami. Continue-->

@valioyamaha According to a local geologist they discovered a fissure about 2.5 kilometers (1.6 mi) long had opened on the eastern side of the summit. As a result, the western half of the Cumbre Vieja had slipped about 2 meters (6.6 ft) downwards and 1 meter (3.3 ft) westwards towards the Atlantic Ocean. Sliding at a rapid pace. 1958 Lituya Bay megatsunami caused by 90 million metric tonnes of rock and dirt sliding and creating a wave 524 meters (1,719 ft) high.143 meters (470 feet) taller than the roof of the Empire State Building. @valioyamaha Yes I really understand what you mean about some people out there and doomsday prophets. But as a sky watcher that searches for NEO (Near Earth Objects). I study meteorite impacts over land and sea. I'm into real science and not Guru science. It's all about crunching all the numbers and DATA with the possibilities. The fact is that under sea land slide, above sea land slide and volcanic wall collapse has cause big tsunamis in the past. Continue-->

all scientists expect this to blow. all eastcoasters must be alert..tsunami arrives in 8 hrs, there is a 5hr difference between el hierro and boston. you could be asleep when it blows, wake up and have just 3 hrs. sneakers, bicycles ready (cars may not get far in traffic jams) be prepared to turn your back on possessions and go west or above 1000feet. any healthy person can do a 12minute mile and 15miles inward (3hrs walk) is better than being downtown. Have a plan.

I'm not trying to argue here, I just wanna say that we have to be more careful and thoughtful in how and what we are saying, because people are strangely attracted to the worst case possible, and are to lazy to do their own researches, And if they do, they may again stumble upon something that is very far away from the reality.
