POSITION SUMMARY
The Electrical Project Engineer is responsible for the design and development of electrical systems for various project building types (Healthcare). These systems include but are not limited to: power distribution, lighting, fire alarm and communications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS




•Serve the client in their best interest and maintain a positive client relationship.
•Conform to Progressives Project Process standards.
•Advocate and follow Progressives policies.
•Provide estimates of electrical fees for projects and of electrical construction costs for projects.
•Monitor the electrical budget and schedule for projects.
•Accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
•Alert the Project Leader when inconsistencies occur as they relate to design and documentation.
•Provide control strategies for project budget overruns.
•Monitor and alert the Project Leader when a change in the scope of work occurs.
•Attend the scheduled team meetings as required.
•Develop project drawings and specifications.
•Check for project specific code compliance information as it relates to the discipline and the effect it has on other disciplines.
•Provide project specific interdisciplinary coordination.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

•Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Electrical Discipline
•Seven to ten years of experience in building electrical systems design
•Proficient in the use of lighting software
•Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
•Working knowledge of short circuit/device coordination software
•Working knowledge of energy code compliance software

PREFERRED
•Healthcare Experience
•Proficient in the use of AutoCAD

  • Innovative video, putting it on youtube, but there aren't a lot of engineers out there with healthcare experience. Try hiring a more recent grad and training.
