Firelands PTR - Reckoning of Lightninghoof vs. Baleroc (Full Kill Video)

This was a fun boss. It was available on the US test realms earlier today and we took a few stabs at it. After wall jumping a bit to get inside the locked gate (before the GMs unlocked it), we formed a decent strat and ended up with a kill. Gets hard to see while tanking sometimes!

Basically, the tank is kept alive by a stacking debuff that Baleroc places on him which increases his maximum HP while also increasing the physical damage the tank takes and increasing the fire damage Baleroc deals. The healers can apply a buff on the tank that increases the healing he takes dramatically by healing DPS that are rotating to get beamed by a crystal that the boss periodically spawns.

is this the basic, dps just dps and not having to worry about anything and healers just heal the tank and tank doesnt have to worry about different moves?

@wow2h85 No. It's much more complicated than that. There is a healing buff the healers have to maintain by healing DPS that maintain a buff. The tank gains a stacking buff that increases his health and the healers have to stack their healing buff in order to put out more heals to accommodate the tanks massively increased health pool. When the DPS stack the Torment buff, they also take increasing damage. It's quite a bit more complicated than it looks from a tank POV.
