that is awful! i can't believe doctors can be so ridiculous.

Before I was diagnosed I had severe tremors. The doctor I was seeing at the time told me I could make them stop cause it was just "all in my head" So I told him he was wrong after I said that he started pretending he was having a tremor and was mocking me! I couldnt believe it I was pissed...

i was in the hospital for four days once, completely exhausted and barely being able to move. this was before they had diagnosed me with POTS. The social worker took my mom out of the room and told her that it was all in my head and my mom was never going to be happy with a psychological diagnosis!
don't you hate those people?!

nice, well I guess you've learned your lesson about committing insurance fraud... we're watching you Kyli, if that is your real name (now). ;-)

Once had a doctor personally call my home and ask "what do I have to do to not hear about [my son's name] every other week? I told her she never had to do anything again. Who needed that?
We had another appointment where he had to go for testing 7am in the morning. When we got there, they told us we couldn't have the test because they didn't have the referral. I sat in that chair and called EVERY number in the entire hospital. He was tested in 15 minutes, personally escorted.

Lol I went to the cardiologist last week and even though I had been diagnosed w POTS through the other dr.s at the hospital, he is now not convinced. He said, sure I had every symptom, but who's to say it's not in your head? I just thought, "I'd like to plummet you in the head." lol So hopefully next time I go, he won't be the one I see! Good luck w the insurance info. they're sooo picky when it comes to name changes.

I had the most ridiculous doctor week last week-- I went to the cardiologist and he was like "you're a very difficult case" and let me know that "there's not much we can do" and "you're my problem" though I guess it's better to be his problem then to have him disown me!
He sent me to an endocrinologist which was fine, but on my way leaving that appt I passed out in an elevator, they called a code blue and I came to to people trying to shock me! There's more but youtube limits me :(

Kyli,
Had one of those visits two days ago. My doctor and NP actually LOST me in their office! I waited for TWO hours in the exam room. I opened the door several times to try and find someone...nothing. Didn't want to leave the room for fear he'd come in while I was wandering. Then, to top it off, he comes in and tells me I need to see another doctor because my condition is "too complex" for him to treat! Was frustrating then, but, like you said, now I can laugh!
Shayna, you would think of all the things that doctors could accuse you of faking, a seizure wouldn't be one of them!
Carlie, that's ridiculous. Breast tenderness?! What an idiot. lol.
I'm going to make another video soon about my experiences with doctors before I got diagnosed. They did the same thing to me, and almost made me believe that I didn't have a real problem! It's a shame what we have to go through just to get diagnosed. I hope it changes with time, and more awareness being spread.

hi! i wasn't allowed to see the doctor, unless i paid by cash, which i wasn't about to do... it would've been over 200 dollars.
you're absolutely right, she was definitely on a power trip.
