MFN Shipley UK Custom Motorcycle 'Show and Shine' Bike Night

MFN Night Venue in Eastwood/Shipley/Ilkeston in Derbyshire, UK has custom car/bike and scooter nights every week in the Summer months. Mondays and Wednesdays are the Motorbike nights and on Monday - its the Show and Shine event every week. Show & Shine starts 19th May! Every Monday weekly winners receive a burger
beer & trophy and entry into a showdown at the Last Chance Classic & Custom show at MFN September 14th. So who could resist eh?. MFN is like Matlock Bath motorbike mecca ... but in an exclusive set of car parks with a big pub in the middle!. No need to walk the 'Prom to view the bikes - theyre all in one place and easier to view!. And if you want owt to eat theres always the burger vans!. :-)

This was taken at the above on 21st July 2008 and features a few of the bikes entered that night. Also shows a few glimpses of famous UK Harley Davidson Custom Bike Builder Kev French and wife Suzanne from Le Rock Custom Shack in Mansfield Notts, UK. Who helps both judge and sponsor the event with others.

Well I cant and dont slag off the true "Scooter Boys" cos most are around my own advancing years ... the genuine lot I mean. However I dont think you can compare bikers to chavs by any stretch of the imagination. As most have a fair bit of disposable income to be bikers in the first place. Certainly the custom show guys and the more expensive machinery-owning riders. But I dont think all are aware of the massive facilities that MFN have for live music and groups too! it`s an absolute chav shit hole...i`m sure the drinks are pissed in to water them down...and the burgers re made of cat i`m sure,then there`s the twat`s on the road doing stoppies at 80mph and a load of idiots sat on the grass verge watching!!!!!!!!..and some of them are little kids....what`s gonna happen when some nob loses it at 80..bye bye crowd

And do you have any negative points to say about the place?. :-) Well ive always gone on the 'civlised' nights then where its all matching leathers, soda waters and lime and cliquey conversations mingled with envious glances at some serious chromework! Perhaps they could do a Chav Night. With competitions for the best Burberry paint job. And a Twat Night for those who like arsing around, shouting a lot, shave their head, and pack a big gut into leathers that used to fit 15 year ago :-o

Yeah well I live only about 8 miles away but laziness, shifts and weather reduce my reasons for going more often. Its a shame they dont do MORE bike nights than two a week really. I always think its a bit like Matlock Bath but concentrated into a couple of car parks and for that reason - a wee bit more 'intense' 'cos you've no selection of retreats or chip shops to go and do your people watching from.. Id like to do another fancier vid theres only so much you can film! Suggestions welcome, !

i aint a bad word against mfn! love the place and all i gotta do is go through the farm next door to it to get there! god im lucky.. but seriously, how can people bad mouth mfn, would people rather bikers do what chavs do and crowd on a street corner drinking cheap white cider, and causing a nuisance?! it is a place out the way for bikers from all over to gather and show off their bikes, have a laugh and forget about work and shit. the only improvement, fuck the chavs and scooter boys.
