"Noah" is now being offered for sale. He was bred, raised, and trained by Maple Hill Performance Horses. He stands a full 16-3 hands. His best attribute has to be his personality and incredible mind. He loves people and all the attention he can possibly get. His laid back demeanor makes him truly a joy to show. We have never lounged him to wear him out enough for the show pen. If anything, he will run out of gas. He has never been ridden hard under saddle, so I assume his stamina will increase as he gets into better shape. But even then, I would not ever expect him to come out of the stall with any extra mental energy. As a trainer, I can completely appreciate this:) He is easy, easy. He can sit for several days, (or weeks as it has been from time to time) come out of his stall and go right to work for you--like you had just ridden him yesterday. His training would advance, of course, much faster if he was ridden on a regular basis:) Noah has never been injected. We just had the vet out to check all of the horses in the barn and he said that he was, "Good to go!" We do have a message therapist come through on a regular basis and Noah has not needed adjusting or messaging for several visits now. His education has consisted mainly of HUS and Eq. but we do jog around every now and then. He has been ridden in a variety of bits-- from a standard snaffle to a low port western grazing bit. He is starting to understand neck reining and could start learning some horsemanship. I have taken him over logs and bridges but I think he finds it comical to make noise as he passes over the logs. So trail might not be his forte':) He has been started in showmanship but would need a lot more time before he would be ready to show.
A novice youth from my barn leased Noah this summer. The video is of her showing him at the Region Three Experience and at the Corporate Challenge. Noah placed first and second in Novice Yth. Eq. at the Corporate Challenge. This was Noah's first pattern class ever! He handles crowds well. Even the occasional ring scuffles by other horses doesn't phase him. He is comfortable and happy doing his job. He is going to be an outstanding horse for somebody someday:)!
