Some people thought and believed had it been scored on different value terms, that Arona would've clearly won the fight. However again, as RINGS scoring was not based on positional control but rather on damage dealt and attempts to finish the fight, categories in which many thought Fedor surpassed Arona.

Just by raising your arms in the air before the judgment as though you are sure you are winning does not mean you will win the fight .. . Arona did nothing in the fight other than push Fedor to the ground and hug him tightly ..

No RINGS as regras eram outras, não contava quem ficava por cima, e sim que golpeava te tentava finalizações, o Arona só tentou amarrar, e por isso perdeu o 2 e 3 round
