This song. Last year, my wife died. This song. I played it for her before she died. She loved great music and recognised this song to be one of the greatest ever written.

Actually, it's about Rob's mom having had cancer...
Kind of a contrast to what you said.

He wrote this for his mom, when she had cancer, then after this incident, she got better finally, and she started partying, and Rob (the singer) thought she didnt take life too serious even after her battle with cancer. And 3 AM is when all the bars for drinking closed...because she was always drinking
So this song is all about his mother, great meaning and lyrics

How can you compare Matchbox 20 to The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd?
Just for your own good, The Beatles mention Rimsky-Korsakov in "Yellow Submarine". And most of the bands you mentioned are actually legendary. I am a musician. I've heard stuff you've never dreamed of in your short sheltered life. That's why i piss all over MB20's bubblegum pop-rock.
Music is the language of the soul. Its not a popularity contest.

Do you understand how Rob Thomas is basically the only great lyrical artist of this time...I only listen to classic rock, and this is the only 90s band who I actually really like because the lyrics are deep and the sound is great, it's not deep rock and it's a soft type of rock...I don't understand how you think it's bubblegum pop-rock.
I truly don't care if you know more OLD OLD music, this is my music to me, and a lot of other people...you can hate my type of music, and I can hate yours
