An interpretational piece on the parable "Before the Law" by Franz Kafka
This interpretation focuses on one character within the parable. It captures the mood and describes the guard the country man faces.
The solemn mood of the song along with the darker overbearing piano bass line brings out the toughness and brute force the guard posesses.
The marimba part, which is much more delicate than the rest of the song, shows to serve conversation between the two characters. Because the guard speaks in paradoxical terms throughout the story, the sound of the marimba serves to convey the confusing words of the guard.
Another excellent interpretation! I enjoyed all three of your Kafka vids.
