Well Jakkblood, a metal spoon reflects the energy and the microwave will cook itself. Since the bulb seems to absorb the energy and produce light nothing more seems to happen.. ;)

haha why is it that i accedently left a metal spoon in my soup while reheating it once and my microwave just about exploded and you guys are able to put this inside without anything happening? lol this was pretty cool.

that's quite cool, you can see the points where the standing wave hits the bulb

^^and lol to lolz8930 ti can't cook you, a microwave metal, the mesh on the front doesn't allow any microwave radiation through, and if you jammed the microwav open you still wouldn't be cookes as a standing wave could not be formed
