What has happened to Niddl after the Starmania hype? Some say, she simply disappeared and „we haven't heard of her for a long time". Well, those people should better have their eyes and ears examined, because the numbers prove them wrong. In the year 2006 alone there were 17 TV appearances, 8 charity and radio events, 33 articles in magazines or newspapers and 52 live concerts with Niddl. So, the question is not, what she has done in the meantime, but what she hasn't done.

Musically she still refuses to be pinpointed down to a single style, displaying a broad spectrum of genres. Her standard formation consists of the reputable musicians Dieter Kolbeck, Michael Dörfler, Willi Langer and Lenny Dickson. Want Funk? „Seven 4 Tea" got lots of it. Prefer House? DJ Sonic's gonna make you shake. If you're a metalhead, satisfaction's guaranteed with „Stiletto".

She's got the voice, she's got the looks, she's got the attitude, now where's the big career? One has to admit that without the support of a major record label, that's a hard thing to accomplish. Hopefully the eagerly awaited (and direly needed) first album with „Niddl" written on its cover will show I'm wrong. But that would be the next part of the story...

Music: Niddl "I will love again" (originally by Lara Fabian)
