Actually, you have both options:
1: Auto-Size feature - The software automatically detects the paper edges and adjusts the image correctly.
2: Manual Size: If you want an exact C-size image file from any document that is not exactly C-size, then the software will add white space or crop to your choice of paper size. Of course you can also scale a drawing from C to a B-size, or to a D, etc...

What happens when you start working with different sheet sizes? Can the software detect a C sized drawing and make the necessary changes or does it save a lot of white space with the saved image.
