  • im pretty sure my lawn mower has more HP

  • its a perioud correct carb kit that is reproduced now a days

  • It's not the original version. It has twin carburetors. The original had a Solex 28 PCI.

  • sounds good for just a 36 hp!!

  • Cool, that would certainly be something to see! :D My new 1641 is so tight that the cranker has to do some serious work to get it going, so you get about 3 starts (30 secs of cranking per start) before you run out of juice if it doesn't start (the reason I know is because I had the timing 200 degrees wrong after assembly, so I cranked it for quite some time before I figured out what was wrong... :D)

  • A well set up and well used (loose) 1200 can easily be kick-started with a skillful foot on the flywheel!

I remember my dad doing it in the '70s.

  • These were rated at 30bhp in Europe.

(The DIN standard measured with generator and fan still attached - American SAE measured without hence 6 more hp over there!!!)

  • Yeah, thought so but I was hoping for some elaborate solution involving some fancy fabrication. ^^

  • You just have to hook up the end of the transmission to the flywheel, hook up a starter and start it

  • 36hp I am guessing mor in the range of 45hp to 50hp
