Alex & Derek King Today (Alex is "fabulous"!)

Is Alex King gay? He describes his life as "fabulous." (20:35) How many straight young men say that? :) Decide for yourself. Regardless, he's very eloquent and seems very intelligent and an all-around nice guy. He told Larry King that no one is willing to hire him but he managed to get a job cleaning after the BP oil spill. And yes, I do recognize that he's been [unfairly?] given more chances because he's white and attractive. Still, it can't be denied that he is a good example of the success of rehabilitation over incarceration.

BTW, I think journalist Keith Morrison has the MOST ANNOYING VOICE on TV. He treats the audience like little kids listening to a fairy tale so it's impossible to take his reporting seriously. For those don't know, he's Matthew Perry's (Chandler on the show "Friends") stepfather.

That was never the issue. The "right from wrong" criterion is used to decide an insanity defense, which is not relevant here. In fact, the killing and killer were not in question either; the kids admitted their role. The question was whether they were coerced, tricked or goaded into it, and knowing the true consequences do play a crucial role in determining that.

No one would give a shit if these kids were black. The out pouring of "support" by these dozens of strangers is questionable. These kids are just as delusional now as they were when they killed their dad. Good for Keith for asking the ultimate question. Their dancing around a response just shows how these kids will never change. I'm the same age as Alex, and I remember seeing the trial and thinking "wtf" at their behavior.

Both sides agreed that rehabilitation with jthe admission of guilt and jail time was the best course.
