SHAME ON YOU N.Y. DOT. You let a national treasure decay to the point of no return!! if we had kept the tolls in place we might of been able to take care of it ? sad we live in a throw-away society. very nice video for memories.

agree with wmchone..right, they were only looking out the safety of the public- (quick, blow it up before anyone figures out how to fix it) now how much is this "free" ferry thing plus the cost of a new bridge going to be? oh well, thats water over the bridge now.

it is just a bridge... well was... it wasn't in shape to handle the traffic safely. needed to come down. I watched a video of it getting blown up, pretty cool to see, wish I was there for it.
